WHAT IS CNC LASER CUTTING AND TURRET PUNCHING?
CNC (computer numerical control) laser cutting and punching is a metal fabrication process using computers and machines to cut and perforate sheet and plate metal. Machine language known as 'G-Code' is entered into the CNC machine which determines everything from where the tool needs to be, where it is going next and how fast/hard it is working.
We have CNC laser cutting machines and turret punching machines available at our overseas facilities. CNC laser cutting machines can achieve extremely precise cuts in very complex designs. CNC turret punching gives us the capability to cut or press out simple shapes from sheet metal at a rate of up to 600 times per minute!
CNC laser cutting has the advantage of being more precise and can cut thicker sheets of metal. CNC punching or turret punching has the advantage of speed but is only viable for thinner sheets for metal.
